Wejdas – Į tamsą

Wejdas - I Tamsa k7 front cover
Wejdas - I Tamsa k7 info

The music on Į tamsą, or Into The Dark, Wejdas‘ first cassette released 1994, is both darker and more hermetic than Saulei Tekant, posted earlier, but the magic pervading these tracks is no less palpable. In any case, the music instantly transports you into another time frame where the temporal existence is suddenly less important. The cover represents an amber figurine, alluding to the fact the Curonians or Krushes people from Courland dominated the amber trade with the Roman Empire and through the Middle Ages. A similar figurine can be seen in a color picture on the band’s official website.

01 Į tamsą (Intro) (9:41)
02 Kosminé Gelmé (6:25)
03 Išnykusios Civilizacijos Veidas (2:19)
04 Nežinomiems Dievams (7:27)
05 Miške (Outro) (5:35)

Total time 31:40
Cassette released by Dangus Productions, Vilnius, Lithuania, 1994

Surprisingly, such depressing music can make one feel good, sometimes. Thanks for your comment.
