Cranioclast ‘Cris Con Tala’

ADN Tapes #23, 1987
Somnii Palus (24:42)

Vaporum Mare (21:19)

This has already been posted by Cranio on his Thing On The Doorstep blog more than a year ago. I’ve nonetheless good reasons to post it anew here: first, I’m an ADN Tapes fetishist. Two: I’m providing a bunch of pictures, including alternative versions of the cover photo (click thumbnails). Cranioclast provided different photos for the cover (7, apparently), which might create an interesting series of black and white dreamscapes, since the music’s inspiration is the moon, sleep and gazeous substances. Says Cranioclast: ‘motifs capturing momentary situations of elementary reverie…‘ Three: it is a very good cassette of ambient industrial music with the so called ‘ritual’ feeling so typical of late 1980s. Cranioclast was a german duo with an unmissable sound quality, even if in the german ambient canon (Klaus Schulze, Cluster, etc). I love this one.

Thanks for your impressive web site.
Unfortunately none of the above links still function.
